Malaysia

Hi!
Im to tired to write a whole lot about my trip to Malaysia so here are some pictures,
Worth a-thousand words a piece right? Or atleast Fifty (because they are VGA quality).
So heres a short play by play.

Note: any spelling errors are due to my current lack of sleep

Got to the air port and waited around for about 2 hours before boarding Malaysian Airlines 717 jet 013

The flight was pretty good (8hours) as they brought you pretty much what every you wanted to drink (alcho included~ not that great tasting though). On the way I Vsed a passenger (row 55.G) in checkers for 2 hours straight (on computers in-built on the back of the seats infront of you), and watched 2 JackyChan movies.

Arrived at airport at night 10:35pm and got off the plane in to the 35*c Air.

From here took a 10 min train to KL central airport and from there a 30 min train to KL central station. OH EM GE . The malaysian trains talk! they say the destination, eastimated time of arrival and, acutally wish you a good trip! :) they also have TVS on them.

From here went to Grandparents house.

Thats my Dads head in the bottom.

More of their home.

Next morning we went out to the markets for breakfast.

Jon's Guide to Malay markets:
Food: 9.5/10
Service: 6/10 (only because they bring the food TO your table, and the asian waitresses -some- are cute)
Cost:10/10 (CHEAP!! Cheaper then an Asian jewish banker)
Cleanliness: 2/10 (floor is pretty dirty)

Heres a picture of some stalls outside the food market. Idk what they sell.
In the background is a pointy office building.

A picture of the inside of the house. Btw it was quite hot, There was an seprate air con in every room and atleast 2 fans. Oh whilst on the house topic~ it was a nice place only about 1.5RJ (about 500k aud) and it had 24/7 security guards pool (swimming), pool (balls), Gym, Squash court, sauna, MONKEYS ... Yep thats right there were sneaky monkeys that could be seen taking bananas off trees and running up the driveway.

More of their house.

Ok this next picture was at.... (cant remember the name) I think it was called east vally plaza or something. No1. of the shopping malls. This was on the top floor.

On that day SONY were celebrating the release of their FIFA revolution game or something.
*Jon camera happy*

Sort of like Toys R Us. Awsum :)

Giant snakes and ladders. heh noobs.

After that trip I had already tired of shopping. ... I HATE SHOPS >: (
Unfortunately for me there was mroe to come. (more on that later)

I think the same or next day we stopped off at a Indian prayer place. Not understanding the delicate gestures and language of the Priest/ elephant man about not to take photos I once again went camera happy.
Here is a Tomb of one of their saints/ elephants or something

Some Original indian architecture. Oooohhh ..... Aaahhhhh....

This is from the outside. OMG out here there were so many stray dogs (animal dogs.. not human dogs *thinks of specific name* LOL JKSJKS)

Oh yeh it was still under renovation.

more.

and more.

Later that day we went to shop No.2. Oh woe betide me.
We came here by monorail. (tickets 80c Australian)

The place was called BB Plaza. This place was MASSIVE!. There were so many shops covering every inch you could have easily got lost in there for hours... (in my case 3 hours).

There were tons of different shops here, main shops were shoes, Fake dvds, watches, electronics (suprisingly expensive here), Clothes etc.
Jon's Pricing Guide.
Watch: about 3$ ausd
Shoes: about 8$ ausd
Shirts of good quality: about 9$ ausd
Really really fancy fur coat 99$ ausd (this is really pricy for Malaysia!)
Dvds: 1$ ausd
Dresses and other female items: 5-15$ ausd

One of the shops (below) i think it was called Gift land.

DUM DUM! : ( Shopping plaza no 3.
This shopping place consisted of 3 plazas rolled in to one which made it bigger then BB plaza but not as crowded.
Just think of this place being David Jones compared to bbplaza which was like a k-mart.

In the middle of the plazas was a giant beer... which my dad was determined to take a sip of.

~_O dont know him.

This was a display at one of the plazas. there were also power rangers, transformers and starwars ones. BOOO whilst i was here i really had to use the toilet. But when i went in THERE WAS NO PAPER!. instead it was just a hose. yep a water~ hose. My Grandpa explained to me after that this was because the demographics of musilims wearing dresses (sarees <-- spelling probably incorrect).

This was on the way back aftr a day of shopping. This is Malaysias OLD parliment house (below). Its 3 different colors red orange and blue. Hmm.. Dont see any of those around Sydney

JONS HELPFUL NOTEs about different shops in Malaysia:
1. Any place that offers a "FOOT MASSAGE" does not. Some guy told me i dressed nice and handed me card for a foot massage spa called Venus entertainment, it was open from 7pm to 2 am, and had "clean facilities, employees".
2. When some one offers a price tuen your back on them and they will usually drop it by 50%.
Jon: how much is this?
Stall owner: 50Rm
Jon: WHAT! that other guy offered me 30Rm
Stall owner: Ok ok 25 Rm
Jon: no deal 15Rm
Stall owner: 15Rm Fine no less
Jon: ok if you sell it for 10Rm i will buy two? OK?
Stall owner:.... ...... Fine 2 for 20Rm
Jon: *fumbles at pocket* oops forgot my wallet
3. DO NOT FUCK WITH THE GUARDS. Out side main higher class shops there are guards with pump action shotguns. Outside ATMs there are armed guards (assult rifles). Don't mess with them.
Oh also random~ dont walk alone during early morning or night you will get mugged (no options there so just accept it)

DELICIOUS!
this jerky has to be the best jerky in the WORLD!
bought it from a street side vendor
nom nom nom so good =D

The next day we headed into the main area of KL.
THis is the (something) club people play cricket here.
Very nice area.

Outside club.

Still outside club.

More.

Main river in KL it is sooo dirty... heh heh Dirty.... Dirty like a fox. (sleep deprivation kicking in)

This is where one dirty river come together with another dirty river.

Here is a BAZAR. Rofl
When we were walking through some guy cam up to me and put this cream on me( trying to sell it ), i think it was paint because i went all white.

Pray and play area for musilims?

Building with a BIG flag.

Here is some graffitti in a dirty back ally i found rather cool. I think this dude was the last prime minister.

and more.

This was heading off the main road on the way to ... china / india town.

Ok here we are. after about an hour of walking we arrived at china town or as i like to call it cheap-asians-haggling-and-trying-to-rip-off-people town...
Some guy was trying to sell me perfume.
Some guy was trying to sell me wallets.
Some guy was tring to sell me watches.
And yes "Some guy" was actually the same guy.

For lunch we went in to another shopping plaza (i think this one is number 4??) and in here i discovered somethig most amusing. Below is a fish tank in which for only 15Rm per 10 min 5$ Ausd you can put your feet in a tank of water and let little fishies eat the dead skin apprearently exfoliating the skin. Lol. So Dirrrrty. =D

That night went out for dinner again.
This is what i ate.
deepfried groopa
chicken in pot (clay pot)?
and i forget the other one i think it was pork.

Malaysia pride?

The next day we went on a HOP-ON bus. which basicly went around to every site seeing place in KL. for about 130Rm. about 40$ Ausd.
I would recomend it if you guys every go to malaysia as it means you can get on to any "HOP-ON" bus.
The conductor's english wasnt that great though, sorta sounded like he was constupated.
"EHHNUMBER STOP TREE, THE MEUUUSSAAM"
One of the stops was the museum.

This (below) was a big tree I like :)

Sewing guy in the meuseum ... What a 18th century pansy.

These are tomb stones. the bodies are stood vertically. Smart asians find out a way to efficently stock the dead bodies. (PRIDE XD)

Check out my guns... and massive Pistol. LOL (lame)
These are guns. used in some war. some time. idk. Guy gave a talk about them.
WHat are 10 things Jon Knows about Guns after the guide.

The next stop was the main synagogue of KL.
Annnnnndddd HERE it is!.
Zzzzz.... tired
Anyway here we had to wear funny purple cult robes as you could not go in with shorts (and with women head coverings)

This picture was taken from the synagogue not of he synagogue. look down.

LOL see purple robes. I felt so gangsta with those dress like robes flapping around my bare legs. (lame jk)

In all seriousness it was quite beautiful.

HIGH COURT OF KL.
Jonathan L V. State of KL

This is a pointy tower. (above) i think it came up from a home or something.

Stop after that was the Opra gallery. They had GREAT toilets. (idk just big and nice)

This is the ART gallery. it was a no picture zone.

Back on the bus thi is Malaysias iconic buildings the patronas towers. use to be the tallest in the world (when it was built)

KL tower from the bottom.
This tower is like the Center point. even has a revolving restraunt inside.
hmm I must say that eating food while slowly revolving does acutally make the food taste better :)p

ON THE way to PLAZA .5
This was a funny chinese building.
*points at building and laughs*

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
ULTIMATE MALL

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Ok get ready for this.
This mall called b square ('b' for something i dont remember) was 13 MASSIVE floors packed with shops, this was a view from the top floor to the 5th lowest floor. and yep they are shops down there.

BUT ON TOP.,,, on top of this monstrosity was .,,,

HOORAY -there you go helen some pictures

Lol when you were standing on the bottom floow you could actually see the rollercoster wizzing high above you. and all the floors shook.

*at this point I love Malaysia*
<33

Oh and also i saw this sign, FYI. 4.50 is about the average rate per hour (about 1.66$ Ausd per hour.)
On the way back pictures.
